When Filip Triner, founder of the curated platform Only / Once, approached us, we didn’t hesitate for a moment. Filip specializes in sourcing and meticulously restoring iconic Braun pieces from the era of the legendary designer Dieter Rams.

For his new showroom, he was looking for a clean design that wouldn’t compete with these historical gems, but rather provide them with a dignified and architecturally clear backdrop. The choice fell on our Shelf One and Cabinet One. Their subtle steel construction and strict geometry perfectly accentuate the details of these collectible pieces from the 1950s through the 90s.

Filip’s work also caught the eye of the prestigious Monocle magazine. Their April issue features an extensive interview with Filip, with our shelving systems complementing the interior of his studio. We are thrilled that Master & Master has found itself in the company of objects that defined the history of world design.

The entire story has a strong Czech connection as well. Filip first began collecting while studying in Prague, fascinated by the "Brussels style" and Czechoslovak modernism. The circle has now symbolically closed: Czech design now presents the very best of German functionalism in his German showroom.
