Furnishing the new UMPRUM Technology Center building in Mikulandská Street, Prague, designed by Ivan Kroupa Architekti, represented one of our most significant projects in 2021. We delivered over 360 chairs and stools from the UM collection alongside dozens of Diamond metal table bases to this inspiring industrial space.

This commission also marked a literal return to our brand's roots:

• The story of the Diamond base: Originally designed by Michal Malášek specifically for the Product Design Studio at UMPRUM, the striking shape resonated deeply with students, leading the Diamond table legs to become the very first mass-produced product by Master & Master.

• Inspiration for the UM collection: The construction logic and aesthetic of the Diamond bases later inspired the complete UM seating family, designed by Michal Malášek and Jiří Pelcl.

The raw character of the chairs, stools, and table bases perfectly highlights the concrete, industrial, and creative spirit of the new UMPRUM building.
